Dissatisfied with existing stool options, I sought to design and construct a piece that balances aesthetic appeal with functional performance. Following four design iterations, I produced the result shown below. The design incorporates bent tubing, a laser-cut base plate, machined lugs for the backrest attachment, and a custom-embroidered Chop Shop Metalcraft logo on the backrest. Welds remain unblended and heat signatures are preserved to emphasize an industrial character, providing a deliberate contrast to the brushed finish.
